Escarpment
Country™ is a registered trademark and marketing initiative of the Milton
Chamber of Commerce. Milton’s Escarpment Country™ encompasses the
hamlets of Campbellville, Moffat and Hornby, encompassing 380 square kilometres
north and south of the Highway 401 corridor.
Escarpment
Country™ spans south from Burnamthorpe, north to Guelph Line, west from
Highway 5 and east to Trafalgar Road.
In 1998, the
Milton Chamber of Commerce purchased area profile signs on Highway 401
to promote Escarpment Country™ as a tourist destination. On local roads,
Escarpment Country™ header board road signs, with their distinctive yellow-on-blue
design, help build visitor traffic to the area. As you travel throughout
the area, you will notice these directional signs with business partners’
names.
Escarpment
Country™ is a brand name, which is widely used in all collective marketing
initiatives including advertising, the production of our Visitors’ Guide
and on this web site. Members are use the Escarpment Country™ logo
in their own business marketing initiatives to benefit from this collective
marketing alliance. |
